De Rossi the new Roma manager, has expressed his displeasure at Romelu Lukaku and Leandro Paredes for acting out of context during their 4-0 win over Cagliari on Monday.
Despite the impressive win, De Rossi was unhappy with the on-field behaviour of Lukaku and Paredes.
Lukaku had a face-off with Yerry Mina in the first half, while Parades picked up a yellow card after a scuffle with Nahitan Nandez.
Speaking to newsmen after the game, De Rossi said: “Look, I like it when players try to defend their teammates, but when leading 4-0 they need to be intelligent”
“We need to clamp down on this sort of behaviour because getting booked when you are 4-0 up is truly stupid. We cannot afford to lose any of these players.”
De Rossi who replaced Jose Mourinho about 2 weeks ago as started life as Roma Coach on quite a pleasant one, winning 3 consecutive games since he took over.
A brace from Paulo Dybala and a goal each from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Dean Huijsen handed De Rossi’s men a 4:0 victory over Cagliari yesterday.
