Eterna Plc has inked a deal with Dangote Petrochemical Refinery, establishing itself as the official domestic sales distributor for Dangote refinery products in Nigeria.
According to a corporate disclosure signed by Mandella Golkus, the Company Secretary of Eterna Plc, the company has expanded its trucking capacity through both truck acquisition and a strategic partnership with a third-party transportation company in alignment with this new venture.
The official statement from Eterna Plc reads, “This appointment positions Eterna Plc as one of the major distributors of Dangote domestic products in the country and reinforces the company’s commitment to improving product supply with the assurance of significant investment in trucking both through truck acquisition and strategic partnership with third-party transportation.
In response to the partnership, Benjamin Nwaezeigwe, the Managing Director of Eterna Plc, expressed pride, stating, “We are proud to be appointed as an official distributor of Dangote refinery domestic sale in Nigeria.
This partnership with Dangote Energy is a reflection of our commitment to providing Nigerians with world-class Energy solutions that meet their needs and expectations.”
He added, “We are happy that we are keeping to our promise to stakeholders that the company will remain competitive even in the face of fuel subsidy removal.”
The collaboration comes as Dangote Petrochemical Refinery initiated operations on January 12, 2024, following the delivery of six million barrels of crude oil in six batches.
The initial production phase will prioritize diesel and aviation fuel, with subsequent phases focusing on PMS.
