In a move to address the escalating challenges of kidnappings and bandit attacks, President Tinubu has announced a plan centered around a massive education initiative aimed at Nigerian youths.
President Tinubu, speaking during a meeting with the distinguished Islamic Movement, Jam’iyyatu Ansaridden, at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, assured that security agencies are swiftly addressing the current challenges. He pledged to roll out all necessary resources, policies, and plans for a massive education initiative aimed at Nigerian youths.
Emphasizing the transformative power of education, President Tinubu stated, “There is no weapon against poverty that is as potent as learning. We are dedicated to changing the lives of our people, promoting peace, stability, and economic prosperity.”
He reiterated the commitment to building lasting peace through comprehensive education, involving teachers and educational institutions in shaping the country’s future. President Tinubu acknowledged the role of knowledge in his journey, stating, “Without knowledge, there is nothing to generate hope for mankind.”
Highlighting the importance of promoting updated knowledge in Islamic learning institutions in Northern Nigeria, President Tinubu stressed that this would accelerate development not only in the region but also in Nigeria and across Africa.
He urged for prayers, proper education, and a commitment to peace to eradicate kidnapping, banditry, and foster economic growth.
In response, Sheikh Muhammad Lamine Niass, the leader of Jam’iyyatu Ansaridden, commended President Tinubu for his reform initiatives. He expressed his movement’s dedication to promoting peace and tolerance, pledging continued prayers for Nigeria’s peaceful development.
