Victor Osimhen came off the bench to score as Napoli made it two wins in a week by beating Lecce 4-0 away in Serie A.
The reigning Scudetto champions edged an entertaining first half and took the lead courtesy of a header from Leo Ostigard following a corner.
Giovanni Simeone, who replaced Osimhen in the line-up, came agonisingly close to doubling their lead with a shot from the edge of the box that went wide.
Lecce, who started the day on the same number of points as Napoli, should have equalised through Marin Pongracic, who fired over from six yards after a corner.
Osimhen, who was rested due to Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid, came on at the break and scored with a trademark header from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s delicious cross after a swift counter attack.
The home side made a raft of changes, but Rudy Garcia’s side made it 3-0 when Gianluca Gaetano scored from the edge of the box from Giacomo Raspadori’s layoff and four when a penalty was converted by Matteo Politano in stoppage time.
The win sees Napoli climb to third in the table.
