The Nigerian contigent at English Premier League side Nottingham Forest has just increased by one with Ola Aina replacing Renan Lodi at the club.
Nottingham Forest houses super eagles duo Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, with both having joined last term but endured different fortunes.
Awoniyi had a brilliant season netting ten goals in the league despite injury struggles which kept him out for months. Dennis, on the other hand, had a not-so-good time soring just two goals as opposed to the eleven he scored for now relegated Watford in the 2021/2022 season. He has been linked with a move away from the city ground with clubs like Leeds and Atalanta enquiring about his availability.
Ola Aina is set to join on a free from Serie A side Torino where he has spent the last four seasons. He came through the youth system at Chelsea, with loan spells at Hull City and Torino, before joining the latter permanently in 2019.
The following year, he made a loan move to Fulham for a season, before returning to Italy, and now he looks set to be back in English football once again.
Aina has agreed a three year deal and is in Valencia, Spain to have his medical before teaming up with the rest of the squad for there pre season training camp.
