World-famous boxer, Anthony Joshua set to fight Ukrainian professional boxer oleksandr oleksandrovych Usyk.
Anthony Joshua’s set to face unified WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk at Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia, Govima Sports confirmed.
Although a date for the world heavyweight title fight is yet to be confirmed, but management at Jeddah super dome, a record breaking state of the art arena in Saudi Arabia preferred the venue to host the fight between the two boxers. Jeddah Super Dome can hold an attendance of up to 40,000, the record breaking venue was completed in just 10 months. The Jeddah super dome muti-purpose event space has a 40,000 seating capacity, the largest geodesic dome in the world to ever stand without pillars.
Joshua is attempting to regain his WBA, WBO and IBF belts, after losing them in a unanimous decision in September. Never say never with an opportunity opened for him to reclaim all the belts from Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
Usyk has fought professionally in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Riga, UK, Poland, and the USA, but will be making his Saudi debut. The British boxer has joined forces with new trainer Robert Garcia, who was pictured with fellow coach Angel Fernandez, at their current training base at Loughborough University.
