Verve Partners With Google To Enhance Digital Transactions On Play Store For Nigerians

Verve has partnered with Google to enhance the convenience of digital transactions on Google Play Store for Nigerians. This collaboration aims to provide users with a seamless and improved payment experience when purchasing apps, games, and other digital content from the Play Store. 

The 83.41 per cent  Nigerian android users, as  released by Statcounter, the global smart phone data website Juky can now use their verve cards to make Google Play Store purchases as of today.

Under its new relationship, Google will handle Verve transactions within Nigeria, and that the transactions will be conducted in naira and recognised as local transactions by the country’s banking institutions.

Anthea Crawford, Google Play’s Head of Retail and Payment Partnerships, stated, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Verve, expanding Google Play access for more Nigerians.

Vincent Ogbunude, the Managing Director, Verve International, added, “The integration with Google Play is a significant stride towards achieving Verve’s vision of promoting financial inclusion.

“We are excited to bring digital content and services closer to Verve cardholders, hence bridging the digital divide.”
