UK Resumes Visa Services In Enugu After Months-Long Closure

UK Resumes Visa Services In Enugu After Months-Long Closure.

The United Kingdom has resumed visa application services in Enugu, Nigeria, several months after operations were suspended in the city.

The visa application centre (VAC), previously managed by TLScontact, had been closed in November 2024 alongside the centre in Port Harcourt. The suspension followed the launch of the UK’s largest visa facility in Lagos, operated by VFS Global, which initially redirected all applicants to Lagos and Abuja.

In an update on Wednesday, the British High Commission confirmed that visa services have resumed in Enugu. According to VFS Global, residents of Enugu can now submit their UK visa applications at the Premium Application Centre located within Omedel Luxury Hotel.

“Residents of Enugu, Nigeria, can now enjoy a smooth UK visa process from the comfort of our Premium Application Centre at Omedel Luxury Hotel,” VFS stated.

Similarly, Port Harcourt residents can now process their applications at Hotel Presidential.

The resumption of services in these cities is expected to ease the burden on applicants in Nigeria’s South-East and South-South regions, who previously had to travel long distances to access visa services.

This development reflects ongoing efforts by the UK to improve accessibility and streamline visa application procedures across Nigeria.
