Argentina vs Morocco Match Ends in Dramatic Fashion.

In an extraordinary turn of events, the football match between Argentina and Morocco at the Paris 2024 Olympics ended in chaos and drama. The match, which initially seemed to have concluded, had to be restarted under unusual circumstances.

CONTROVERSIAL ENDING LEADS TO VAR DRAMA

At 18:54pm CET, it was reported that the match had never officially ended. After Argentina’s last-minute equaliser, a small pitch invasion occurred, prompting the referee to halt proceedings. Many believed this stoppage signalled the full-time whistle, but it was later clarified as a temporary suspension.

RESUMPTION AND VAR INTERVENTION

At 19:07pm CET, the match resumed, and Argentina’s equaliser was immediately subjected to a VAR review. The decision was dramatic: the equaliser was ruled out an hour and 15 minutes after it was initially scored. Following the VAR decision, a final three minutes were played, during which Morocco managed to hold on to their 2-1 lead, securing a chaotic yet triumphant victory.
