Nigerian Premier League Results: Remo Stars, Akwa United Shine With Victories.

It was an action-packed day in the Nigerian Premier League, with Remo Stars and Akwa United securing crucial wins while Niger Tornadoes and Lobi Stars settled for a hard-fought draw.

 

Remo Stars 3-0 Nasarawa United





Remo Stars delivered an impressive performance, defeating Nasarawa United 3-0 at home. Sikiru Alimi opened the scoring in the 50th minute, followed by Stanley Joseph’s strike just nine minutes later. Ismail Sodiq sealed the victory in the 62nd minute, completing a dominant display by the home side.

 

Niger Tornadoes 1-1 Lobi Stars

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes and Lobi Stars battled to a 1-1 draw. The match was closely contested, with both teams showing resilience. Despite the draw, optimism remains high for Niger Tornadoes, who are confident of improving under their manager, De Bull. And for Lobi Stars, the team put in a solid defensive performance under newly appointed manager Daniel Amokachi, all eyes will be on the team and how they improve their performances going forward.

 

Akwa United 2-0 Kano Pillars

Akwa United secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars. Endurance Ebedebiri put the home side ahead in first-half stoppage time, and Friday Apollos doubled the lead in the 81st minute to wrap up a commanding performance. The Promise Keepers celebrated a clean sheet and a well-earned three points at the Nest of Champions.

 

Katsina United 0-0 Rivers United 

Former Super Eagles Head Coach Finidi George and his team Rivers United remain unbeaten so far this season as the team grind out a 0:0 draw away from home against Katsina United. The Port Harcourt based club now second on the log with 14 points.

 

With these results, Remo Stars move top of the table with 15 points and Akwa United will look to build on their momentum, while Niger Tornadoes and Lobi Stars will be aiming to capitalise on their fighting spirit in upcoming fixtures.
