National Hospital Abuja Seeks Public Help To Identify Unconscious Female Patient.

The National Hospital Abuja has issued an urgent appeal for public assistance in identifying a female patient currently receiving treatment in its Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The woman, whose identity remains unknown, was discovered unconscious along Kubwa–Deidei Road in Abuja on the evening of 8 July 2025.

According to a statement released by the hospital on Friday, 11 July 2025, the patient was found at approximately 10:30 PM and was promptly brought to the Trauma Centre by a compassionate individual. She is now under medical care, with hospital staff working tirelessly to stabilise her condition. However, without any identification or information about her family, the hospital is reaching out to the community for help.

The hospital’s spokesperson, Dr Tayo Haastrup, emphasised the importance of reuniting the patient with her loved ones. “We are doing everything possible to provide the best care for this woman, but identifying her is crucial to ensuring she receives the support of her family during this critical time,” the statement read. The hospital has urged anyone with a missing relative since 8 July to visit the Trauma ICU at the National Hospital Abuja for possible identification.

The National Hospital, a key referral centre in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, is renowned for its specialised care, particularly in trauma cases. The facility has a dedicated Trauma Centre, equipped to handle critical emergencies, and is calling on the public to spread the word to aid in this identification effort.

Anyone with information that could help identify the patient is encouraged to contact the hospital directly at 0903 009 7889 or visit the Trauma Centre in Abuja. The hospital has also requested that this appeal be shared widely to increase the chances of reaching the patient’s family or friends.

This case underscores the vital role of community support in emergency medical situations. The National Hospital remains hopeful that with public cooperation, the unidentified woman can soon be reunited with those who care for her.
