Oyo State High Court Grants N10m Bail To Three Defendants.
In a new development concerning the recent Oyo stampede, an Oyo State High Court sitting at Ring Road has granted a N10 million bail to Olori Naomi Silekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdullahi Fasasi. The ruling was delivered by Justice K. B Olawoyin, presiding over Court 8, on Monday, following a bail application filed by the counsels of the trio.
The court had set Monday for the ruling after the lawyers for Silekunola, Hazmat, and Fasasi presented their bail application on January 7. Justice Olawoyin outlined five conditions for the bail, which include a N10 million bond and the provision of two sureties. These sureties are required to submit landed documents within the jurisdiction of the court.
Further conditions stipulate that the applicants must deposit their international passports with the court and are prohibited from granting any form of interview during the pendency of the case.
