President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) in an acting capacity, making her the second female to hold the position.
Her appointment is pending confirmation by the Senate.
Justice Kekere-Ekun succeeds Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who retired on August 22 at the age of 70.
